Tri Med Sports Medicine has been providing free medical care for professional and amateur athletes since 1989. Tri Med is based in Pocatello, Idaho but serves the entire Intermountain West. In the past, Tri Med's services have been called upon for many regional and national events, including the National High School Finals Rodeo, the College National Finals Rodeo, and the Wild West Nationals of Motocross. However, our emphasis continues to be on our philosophy: to provide free medical care to the young athletes of Idaho.
Tri Med operates primarily out of a 25-foot gooseneck trailer. The trailer has been modified into a full-service athletic training facility with two separate taping tables. Also in the trailer are a wound care station, a mobile stim and ultrasound unit, hydrocollator, ice unit, and otoscope & ophthalmoscope area. The "Hall of Pain" photo gallery features athletes from the past who have been roughed up during athletic competition but who have utilized Tri Med's services to return to play.
All of Tri Med's on-site services are available to athletes free of charge thanks to a continued partnership with Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. |
